Eligibility Criteria for ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2018

 

Candidates who are applying for various positions at ONGC must make sure that they meet the eligibility criteria for ONGC recruitment 2018. The table that is given below mentions the essential qualification which the candidates must have to be able to apply for ONGC recruitment through GATE 2018.

  • Candidates need to score minimum 60% marks in the undergraduate engineering programmes, to be eligible to apply for the recruitment.
  • Candidates must be Indian Nationals

  • Candidates who have passed professional exams such as AMIE (Mechanical)/ AMIE (Electrical)/ AMIE(Civil) are not eligible for the ONGC recruitment through GATE 2018.

The application form of ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2018 will be available online tentatively in March/ April 2018.

 

What to keep ready before registering for ONGC recruitment 2018

 

Candidates need to keep the following documents and information ready with them before theystart filling the application form of ONGC recruitment through GATE 2018.

  • GATE 2018 admit card – Candidates must have the admit card of GATE 2018 ready with them as they will have to mention the GATE registration number the way it is printed on the GATE 2018 admit card.
  • Scanned photograph and signature- Candidates will have to upload the scanned copy of their signature and the photograph. The dimension and format is given below in the table.

Candidates need to follow the steps that are given below for Registration and filling the application form of ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2018.

 

Step 1– Registration- Candidates, who have qualified the GATE 2018 exam, will have to register for ONGC Recruitment by filling the online application form. To register, they will have to mention their email address, mobile number, as mentioned in their the GATE 2018 application form and lastly the GATE registration number. Candidates will have to enter their GATE registration number the way it is mentioned on the  GATE 2018 admit card.

 

Step 2- Generation of OTP- AOne-time password (OTP) will be sent to the mobile number and email address of the candidate which has to be used to move to the next stage of filling the application form of the ONGC recruitment through GATE 2018.

 

Step 3- Filling of online application form – After registration, candidates will have to fill their academic, personal GATE related and other details in the application form of ONGC.

 

Step 4- View the registered data- Candidates can check all the details which they have filled in the application form by logging in after entering the GATE 2018 as well as the ONGC registration number.

 

Step 4- Printout of the registration slip- Once the candidates have filled the application form, they can submit it and then view all the information which they have furnished. After that candidates can take a print out of the registration slip.

 

Selection Procedure for ONGC Recruitment through GATE 2018

  • Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their GATE 2018 scores.
  • Such candidates will be called for a personal interview. Candidates must also carry their original documents while attending the interview.
  • It is to be noted that candidates working in the public sector unit or government job will be required to produce a no objection certificate from the organization in which they are working.
  • After they qualify in the personal interview, candidates will have to meet the requisite medical parameters which are laid down by ONGC.
